About Us

Welcome to our school.  Mary Immaculate School is located in the friendly hamlet of Chepstow, Ontario. This is a family-oriented farming community situated along the Teeswater River near Walkerton, Ontario.

We are a junior kindergarten through grade 8 school. There are approximately 118 students in 6 classrooms. The school has many unique features. These include a large (recently renovated) gym open to the community, a current, well-equipped library and computer lab, and a literacy/reading recovery room. We also have a climbing playset on the large playing field adjacent to our school.

On five mornings a week, we run a Breakfast for Learning Program which offers our students nutritious food upon arrival at school. We are grateful for this wonderful program funded through the contributions of our parents, staff, and the local community, and staffed by parent volunteers.

We are proud hosts of the local Early Years program. This program offers Playgroup (storytelling, language games, a lending library of games, books, videos, toys, educational programs, and cultural events) on a weekly basis (Wednesdays) to pre-school children. Playgroup is a year-round activity.

We are also proud to host a variety of family reading and literacy nights throughout the school year.

Reverent Emmanuel Azike and Reverend Livinus Okamgba, the pastors of neighbouring Mary Immaculate Church, complement our religious education program by visiting our school on a regular basis and providing students with spiritual guidance
