I want to welcome students and families back to school and wish you a successful year ahead. Whether you are starting Kindergarten, entering high school, preparing to graduate, or returning to a familiar classroom, a new school year brings new opportunities to learn, build confidence, and develop the skills you need for the future.

In accordance with Ontario Regulation 361/10, the Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board (BGCDSB) is seeking a qualified community member with financial expertise and business knowledge to join its Audit Committee for a three-year term ending August 2029.

For several months, Bluewater District School Board, Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board and Shared School Services have been negotiating with our local bus operators to reach a renewed transportation agreement, in close cooperation with the Ministry of Education. Throughout this process, we worked to balance the cost pressures facing operators with our responsibility to manage public funds responsibly.

Over the past several months, Bluewater District School Board, Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board and Shared School Services have been working to negotiate a renewed contract with our local school bus operators, in close cooperation with the Ministry of Education. We understand operators are facing increased cost pressures, and at the same time have a responsibility to work within the level of provincial funding provided. Despite our continued efforts, a resolution has not yet been reached.
